Ich weiß gar nicht, ob dies in den Kontext dieses Weblogs gehört, aber man weiß ja nie, was noch kommt.

Am 12. April fand in Shiraz eine Bombenexplosion statt, bei der 14 Menschen ums Leben kamen und mehr als 200 verletzt wurden. Iranische Offizielle gaben damals an, es handele sich nicht um einen Anschlag sondern um ein Unglück, das wahrscheinlich durch alte Munition aus dem Krieg gegen den Irak verursacht worden sei.

Nun dementieren die Offiziellen ihr Dementi. Es soll doch ein Anschlag gewesen sein.

Intelligence Minister Gholam Hossein Ejei told reporters that six people involved in the attack had been arrested and their links with foreign countries had been confirmed, Fars news agency reported.

Mr. Ejei told reporters that the planner of the explosion had been arrested on Wednesday while trying to leave the country. Mr. Ejei did not explain where he had been arrested but that he was armed at the time. He gave no details on the circumstances of the arrests of the other five suspects.

“All these men are Iranian and had been identified and their links with foreign countries had become clear,” Mr. Ejei said. (NYT)

Es soll sich um eine Gruppe von Exil-Royalisten handeln.

The minister of interior, Mostafa Pourmohammadi, … said they were linked to “royalists,” a group of oppositionists in exile who support the son of the former Shah who was deposed after the 1979 revolution.

“This group had links with the United States and Britain,” Mr. Ejei was quoted as saying. “We had already informed these countries through the Foreign Ministry but they did not stop their terrorist moves and continued to support them,” he added.

Royalisten mit Verbindungen in die USA und nach Großbritannien???

Dies ist so schwer zu glauben, dass es fast schon ausgeschlossen werden kann.

Vorwürfe, dass die USA und/oder Großbritannien hinter irgendwelchen Sabotageakten oder Anschlägen stecken, sind nicht neu. Beweise hat Teheran allerdings nie präsentiert.
