Der iranische Chefunterhändler Saeed Jalili und EU Außenbeauftragter Javier Solana haben heute wieder miteinander telefoniert und nach einem jetzt schon bekannten Muster, unterscheiden sich die Darstellungen der beiden Seiten zum Inhalt des Gesprächs nicht unerheblich.

“In this telephone conversation they voiced their satisfaction at the constructive trend of negotiations in Geneva and in subsequent contact. In Brüssel klang es ganz anders.

[A]n official in Solana’s office gave a more downbeat account of the conversation, saying: “Nothing has changed. We stick to the two-track approach. The channels of communication remain open.”
